Mahabaleshwar Temple
A 4th-century temple housing the Atma Linga. It is the holiest site in Gokarna and a masterpiece of Dravidian architecture.
Maha Ganapathi Temple
Located near the main temple, this shrine is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. It is customary to visit here first before entering the Mahabaleshwar Temple.
Koti Teertha
A sacred man-made tank surrounded by temples. It is used for ritual bathing and immersion of idols, offering a very traditional atmosphere.
Bhadrakali Temple
Dedicated to Goddess Uma, this temple is situated on a hill and is known for its powerful spiritual aura.

Mirjan Fort (22 km)
A 16th-century fort known for its laterite architecture. It looks spectacular in the monsoon when overgrown with lush green grass.
Yana Caves (50 km)
Famous for two massive, black limestone rock formations (Bhairaveshwara and Mohini) hidden in the forest. It requires a short nature hike to reach the base.
